IEEE Sri Lanka Section Awards 2024
The IEEE Sri Lanka Section is excited to announce the opening of Phase II of our Annual Awards Ceremony, set to recognize exemplary contributions across 13 award categories. Awards will be presented at the IEEE Sri Lanka Section AGM in January 2025, celebrating the innovation, dedication, and leadership of IEEE volunteers, and showcasing projects that have made a significant impact on our community.
The ceremony will take place prior to the IEEE Sri Lanka Section AGM in January 2025. These awards honour the innovation, dedication, and leadership of IEEE volunteers, showcasing projects that have significantly contributed to our community.
- Best Sectional Project Award
- Best Affinity Group Project Award (Section AG Category)
- Best Technical Chapter Project Award (Section Chapter)
- Best Industry Collaborative Project Award (Section OU Category)
- Section Outstanding Volunteer Award (Student Category)
- Section Outstanding Volunteer Award (Member Category)
- Section Outstanding WIE Volunteer Award (Member Category)
- Section Outstanding WIE Volunteer Award (Student Category)
- Section Outstanding Young Professionals Volunteer Award (Academician)
- Section Outstanding Young Professionals Volunteer Award (Industry Practitioner)
- Section Outstanding Branch Counselor or Advisor Award.

Nomination Process
Nomination for the awards shall be submitted by filling out an online application. The nominee will have to fill out the nomination form and complete each section in a concise manner.
Judging Committee
The Judging Committee will include members from the IEEE Sri Lanka Section Executive Committee and prestigious IEEE Sri Lanka Section Volunteers.
The decision of the judging committee shall be final and cannot be challenged.
Award Instrument
A certificate & a token of appreciation.
Presentation
The awards will be presented at the IEEE Sri Lanka Section AGM 2025.
Record
The Awards Committee will maintain a record of award recipients on the IEEE Sri Lanka Section website (www.ieee.lk).
Publicity Rights
Information provided by the nominators for the IEEE Sri Lanka Section awards may be used for promotional and/or publicity purposes on IEEE websites, Facebook, Twitter & other social media handles, printed materials and press releases etc. By submitting a nomination, nominators and nominees agree to the release of submitted information
Evaluation Criteria
Each nomination will be evaluated with a predefined criterion and shall be given a score out of a hundred (100).
