Electronic Design Competition 2023

IEEE R10 Robotics Competition - Local Rounds 2023
|
The IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2023 - Sri Lanka Section Local Rounds is down to its final competition with the theme: "Robotics for Managing Climate Change for a Better World." A physical workshop was held at the University of Moratuwa on 10th of July, where the participants gained more experience on hands-on-learning and practicing more electronics related to robotics and new trends in the modern world. You can access the recordings of the workshop series from here. Final completion will be held on 3rd August at University of Moraruwa.

IEEE Extreme Programming Competition is Coming Closer!
|
The prestigious IEEE Extreme Programming Competition, The annual event, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), tested participants' problem-solving skills, teamwork, and creativity in a 24-hour coding marathon that pushed the boundaries of what is possible in the field of computer science. IEEEXtreme 17.0 will take place on 28th October 2023 and team registration will open from 1st of August 2023.

IEEE Boost is organised annually by the IEEE Sri Lanka Section Student Activities Committee (SLSAC) to clarifies all the queries on volunteering in IEEE, from member benefits and opportunities to all the open opportunities available to a volunteer. The sessions on Day 01 of IEEE Boost 2023 focused on igniting a passion for IEEE within the participants while day 02 included technical session, team building activities and a forum to dispel all volunteers doubts about volunteering in IEEE. The 1st day of IEEE Boost was held on 29th of July 2023 with a multitude of speakers via Zoom, connecting quite a number of young IEEE volunteers together.

Webinar | Elevate your IEEE Membership!

IEEE Sri Lanka Section Membership Development Committee organized a webinar on 'Elevate your IEEE Membership' hon 27th July, 2023. The panel of the speakers were Dr. Ruwan Ranaweera, Prof. Janaka Ekanayake and Prof. Maheshi Dissanayake. The event, which was attended by enthusiastic participants, offered invaluable knowledge and experiences from experts.

IEEE Code of Ethics Assessment
|
Do you want to be recognised as an Ethics Champion? This is a golden opportunity to be the Ethics Champion of Region10! Do take up the IEEE Code of Ethics awareness assessment, curated by Ethics Awareness and Advancement Committee (EAAC) at Region 10. First, go through IEEE Code of Ethics and familiarise yourself about the contents. Then, once you have reviewed and understood the IEEE Code of Ethics, you are ready to start your assessment. You could be the “Ethics Champion” of Region10. Deadline : 4th August 2023
