“Little HOPES” was a CSR project organized by WIE Affinity Group of IEEE Uva Wellassa University Student Branch which was held on 4th of March 2019 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m at the Uva Wellassa University Premises. The main focus of this project was to encourage the all most all students (22) in Girls’ home of St. Methodist’s church, Badulla to become success in their lives. This was correlated with the ongoing project; “Hands in Hands” which was conducted with the intention of supporting these students in their school curriculum. Volunteers from Uva Wellassa University give their valuable contribution in conducting evening classes for students from grade 1 to 13 to aid their education. The main aim of “Little HOPES” CSR project was to provide them an opportunity to visit a Sri Lankan University and get motivated to work hard to be selected for a university like this. Further we have conducted fun activities to develop their leadership qualities, soft skills and personality traits. We organized a movie time to have them a stress releasing environment and in additionally a tea party was given for them with a platform to express their aesthetic talents. By conducting these type of motivational charity projects we serve for the community from the best resources we have with us.
